There is a place in Abruzzo where climbing is still true.
The silence is broken only by the wind and the hands that tighten thin notches. A place made of vertical walls and compact limestone. The panoramas open on the Val di Sangro. That place is called Pennadomo.
In the heart of this valley, a stone's throw from the lake, a system of cliff is developed unique for variety, quality of the rock and accessibility.

Oasis plates

•Degrees: dal 6a all’8b+
•Stile: Technical, vertical, adherence and reading plaque
It is one of the most iconic sectors in the area. An entire wall of compact limestone, clear, slightly supported, perfect for those who love the clarification of precision. Here you do not win by force, but with the calm, the firm foot and the ability to read the wall.
The streets require balance and control, with sections in adherence, micro-tackets and clean movements.
The base of the sector is comfortable and panoramic, with a short and simple access. It is also perfect for those who want to alternate climbing and relaxation in nature.
Famous ways: "Seghe in space" (8a), an explosive classic, e "Sexual paranoia" (7B+), a continuous and elegant line.

Resegone
•Exposure: Sud-Ovest
•Approach: 20 minutes
•Degrees: dal 5c all’8b
•Stile: high walls, cracks, physical continuity
The largest and most scenic sector of Pennadomo. The wall dominates the valley with long lines and well -nail, often between 30 and 35 meters, divided into two/three lengths, here serves breath, estate and strategy.
The style is varied: it goes from technical sections on vertical crack plate, slightly overhanging walls and Crux of power on net sockets.
The nails are modern, but the spirit is classic climb: concentration, interpretation and respect for the rock.
TRY TRY: "Super pump" (8b), challenge for those looking for the hard path; "The patience finished" (7B), plays on rhythm and management; "Through elegance" (6c+), line appreciated for beauty and quality.
Resegone is a full day sector, ideal for alternating hard streets and exploratory laps. At sunset, the wall is tinged with orange giving a unique scenario.

•Stile: Continuous vertical plaque, long and regular streets
Less frequented and more collected, but of great technical value. The streets are continuous and regular, 30-35 meters breathless, with sections to manage in economics.
Perfect for those who love fluid climb and want to train resistance in a quiet context.
The wall is exposed to the east, ideal for summer mornings or half seasons.
Top life: "Beautiful potato" (6B+), technique and aesthetic; "Ocuto's power" (6B+), continuity test on discreet support.

•Approach: 10–15 minutes
•Degrees: 5c - 7A
•Stile: Short vertical walls, silent and panoramic
Small but evocative sectors, perfect for becoming confidence with the rock, for technical heating or morning climbing in peace.
The sound of the rope, the wind between the trees, the panorama open on the valley: here the climb is meditation.
Corter, but never banal ways: ideal for working on precision without the physical commitment of the longest ways.
